AI-Assisted Employee Workflows

State of Alaska employees spend significant time on routine productivity tasks — including documenting meeting decisions and follow-up actions, drafting content, and pulling information from publicly available sources — that take time away from higher-value work. Employees were also showing growing interest in using AI tools within the Microsoft applications they already use daily, but doing so safely required guardrails around data privacy, retention, and acceptable use that consumer AI tools don't provide.
